Daniamant showcases its lifesaving safety equipment at global SMM trade show

Stand number 01.708 | 6 – 9 September 2022

Danish-based marine electronics company, Daniamant, announces its line-up of its lifesaving products at this year’s Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine (SMM) event – the maritime industry’s leading international trade fair, from 6– 9 September 2022.

The bi-annual maritime show is the largest trade fair for the shipbuilding, machinery and marine technologies industries, attracting maritime industry professionals from around the globe for product unveilings and demonstrations, live encounters and high-profile trade conferences. Daniamant, located on stand 01.708, will present its leading products amongst the top brands within the sector’s latest innovations in seafaring, including the showcasing of its alkaline technology. The team will be demonstrating its vast range of lifejacket lights, lifebuoy lights, life raft lights and electronics

Lifejacket Lights

Daniamant offers lifejacket lights with lithium or alkaline batteries, designed with compatibility to all variations of life jackets in any size, thanks to its fit-for-purpose light clip design. The lithium-based technology has an extremely long lifetime and is able to work at extreme temperatures, whilst having a longer lifespan when activated. Once operated, Daniamant’s lithium lights will last for almost 90 hours and well above the required 0.75cd light output.

Daniamant will also be showcasing its alkaline technology, which meets regulatory standards of SOLAS and the Marine Equipment Directive, giving customers the option to choose an alkaline light instead of a Lithium-based light. Recognising the issue of disposal of Lithium, as well as increasing transportation costs, Daniamant’s innovative product design allows seagoers to choose a lifejacket light depending on individual priorities of transport, disposal and performance. The alkaline technology has an impressive lifetime of 60 hours once activated and above the required 0.75cd

Electronics

Daniamant offers a broad range of electronical marine safety equipment, from its breadth of alarm systems, such as nautical alarms, oil level alarms, salinometers, and bridge watch alarms, to navigational safety systems including its Forward-Looking Sonar and Inclinometers, which will also be on show at the event.

Kevin Rough, CEO at Daniamant, says, “Keeping people safe at sea is what drives us at Daniamant, and we continuously strive to create products that not only meet standards, but exceed them. Our vast product range of safety equipment is part of our mission to ensure the safety of everyone at sea, whilst maximising our contribution to the safety of the marine industry.”

Safety at sea is the core mission for Daniamant, striving to produce and develop products that will save lives out on the waters. As the world’s leading manufacturer of life jacket lights, Daniamant feel an obligation to ensure the safety of all people at sea. The brand’s motto, Safe People, Safe Systems, Safe Sailing, runs deep in the organisation and Daniamant always has its sights on maximising its contribution to the safety of the marine industry, continuously striving to develop its products to exceed the marine safety standards.
