Survitec signs new three-year fire-fighting contract with CMA Ships

Survitec, the mission critical survival equipment provider, has announced the renewal of a contract with CMA Ships, part of CMA CGM Group, the world’s third largest container shipping company. The renewed, three-year contract extends fire-fighting services on board from 90 to 146 vessels.

The renewal of the contract is as a result of the strong customer relationship between CMA Ships and the recently merged Survitec and Wilhelmsen Maritime Services (WMS) businesses, demonstrating the effectiveness of the newly enlarged group.

Survitec’s ability to deliver standardised, globally compliant, safety service across the CMA CGM fleet was a key differentiator and demonstrates the group’s unrivalled integrated capabilities. The contract award shows strong commitment from the CMA CGM fleet to be above the industry safety standard.

Commenting on the contract expansion and renewal, Terje Borkenhagen, VP Marine Sales, Survitec, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the renewed three-year contract. The contract vindicates the strategic merging of Survitec and WMS. We believe that Survitec has an unrivalled capacity to provide best in class safety services to key customers.”
